About Me

My name is Sau Ha Hor. I am Chinese, as you can see from my photo. I speak Cantonese, some Mandarin and a little English. I live in Chinatown, New York City.

I come from Hong Kong. I grew up in Hong Kong and really like the city. I came to America in 1982 and have been here for almost 25 years. I am married and have 3 children. They are all married and have their own families now. I am retired now and am not working outside home any more. I used to work in a restaurant in Chinatown.

I am retired and I am not working outside home any more. I stay home to take care of my husband who is old. I have a hppy family and I like taking vacations with them. We enjoy our life here. I am also taking an ESL class in BMCC (Borough of Manhattan Community College). I like to learn English, but I find it very hard to learn English at my age. Am I too old to learn? Maybe. Maybe not. But I will give it a try.

Hello,

Please don't get discouraged by thinking you can't learn English at your age.

I am learning many new things on the Computer and it has improved my computer literacy and knowledge.

When I attended school, computers weren't invented -- so it's never too late to learn. I'm 74-years-old and still attending Professor Xu's classes.

I'm sure you'll give learning the English language a try?

Best of Luck -- your continued Success in your efforts to communicate well in the English Language!
